Sydney, Australia – Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) has been recognised with two accolades at the 2014 Australian Good Design Awards presented by Good Design Australia.
The Australian designed Philips Dynalite AntumbraTouch and AntumbraDisplay were both honoured with a Good Design Award®, highlighting Philips’ expertise in design-driven innovations that support sustainable building design and control, as well as positively impact the way people interact with the built environment. |
“In developing Antumbra we removed all pre-conceptions about what a user interface should be to design a panel that surpasses modern requirements and expectations in both form and functionality,” said Daniel Walker, Philips Dynalite Global Product Manager. “To ensure Antumbra set the standard from a design and an engineering perspective, we took a collaborative approach in its development, consulting widely with Philips global design teams as well as our customers and partner network. This design recognition reflects industry feedback acknowledging Antumbra as a benchmark in user interface design for Philips Dynalite control systems.”
“Philips has been improving the lives of Australians through innovation since 1926, and our continued success in the Australian Good Design Awards is testament to our commitment to furthering design and innovation excellence in Australia,” says Rob Fletcher, General Manager of Philips Lighting Australia and New Zealand. “These products embody our design philosophy of striving for superior quality, form and sustainability in our products in order to meet people’s needs and desires.”
AntumbraTouch is the latest addition to the range of user interface panels that operate on the Philips Dynalite lighting control network. Simple in its design, AntumbraTouch hides the complexity of a network lighting control system, allowing users to take control of their environment and adjust the lighting, blinds, AV or AC to meet their exact requirements. |
