Innovation is in our DNA. From the dawn of the electric light, we’ve pioneered many of the breakthroughs in our industry. It was our scientists that developed the first 60W replacement LED light bulb as well as the world’s most energy efficient light bulb.

In 2012 we launched Philips Hue, the world’s leading smart home lighting system. Our 10 million dollar baby

In 2011 we won the L-Prize, a competition with a $10 million prize to develop a 60W equivalent light bulb that consumed less than 10W of power. Our prize-winning LED bulb inspired the LED lighting revolution.
