Eindhoven, the Netherlands – During the November 5 Shanghai awards ceremony, the jury honored Philips with four awards for designs that are most successful in the Chinese markets. The winning designs were judged with an all-encompassing view, from concept to its commercial outcome. “We are delighted with this confirmation of Philips Design’s understanding of the needs and aspirations in local markets,” says Stefano Marzano, Chief Design Officer Royal Philips Electronics.

Chameleon Rice Cooker is a computerized rice cooker especially designed to meet Chinese cooking needs. Although the core function is still focused on rice, the cooker has the capacity to cook around 30 different menus.. The step by step program with visual and audio guidance is able to enhance user experience in daily cooking. The Chameleon Rice Cooker has also received an iF Design Award China this year.
