Building on our past experiences, we are expanding our footprint in Asia to boost cultivation competence for smarter, more sustainable urban farming.
In 2015, we opened the Philips GrowWise research center at our headquarters in Eindhoven the Netherlands, and in Venlo together with Brightbox. These facilities allow us to study the conditions needed to successfully grow particular crops and we have documented more than 150 light and growth recipes so far.
Today, our journey continues here. Besides developing our own light recipes, we will also collaborate with leading research institutions in Singapore to further build up the innovation and expertise needed to help meet our 30 by 30 goal for local food production.
