Color Kinetics has expanded their exciting Graze Powercore family of luminaires to include Graze Compact. This ultra-low-profile luminaire is half the size of Graze, allowing it to fit discretely into almost any layout, from simple to elaborate. Ideal for highlighting architectural features like molding details, archways and windows up to around two stories high, Graze Compact’s innovative optical design features fully mixed light directly out of the luminaire, allowing for smaller setbacks than many other luminaires.

Graze Compact innovatively provides color-changing and high-quality white light from the same luminaire. IntelliHue is the advanced approach to color mixing that enables high-quality intelligent color and white light. Multiple channels of LED light sources are mixed directly out of the luminaire to produce a full spectrum of precisely controllable light, including millions of saturated colors, pastels, and uniform white light with CRI of greater than 80 in the 2700 K to 4000 K range. Multiple luminaire lengths and beam angles support a large range of façade or surface illumination applications. Graze Compact is available in two standard lengths (1 ft and 4 ft), and three standard 10° x 60°, 30° x 60°, 60° x 60° beam angles.

Graze Compact also guarantees you superior color consistency between all LED luminaires in a family with Chromasync technology. During the manufacturing process a calibrated light measurement device creates an algorithm to define a common color gamut for an entire family of LED luminaires. When Chromasync is enabled, color consistency between luminaires is achieved without having to manually adjust color points on each luminaire.

 

Yet another advantage of Graze Compact is its controls compatibility, working seamlessly with the Color Kinetics full range of controllers, including Light System Manager, Video System Manager Pro, iPlayer 3, Antumbra iColor Keypad, and ColorDial Pro, as well as third-party controllers. To further promote efficiency and help reduce costs, all Graze Compact luminaires integrate patented Powercore technology that controls power output to luminaires directly from line voltage – rapidly, efficiently, and accurately. The Color Kinetics Data Enabler Pro merges line voltage with control data and delivers them to luminaires over a single standard cable, dramatically simplifying installation and lowering total system cost.

Furthermore, Graze Compact luminaires are easy to install and operate. They accept power input of 100 to 277 VAC for consistent installation anywhere in the world. Powercore allows long runs and eliminates the need for special wiring and external power supplies. Convenient push-and-click connectors let you easily and rapidly install leader cables and jumper cables. Constant torque locking hinges offer simple and consistent position control from various angles. In addition, Graze Compact provides years of reliable use under rugged conditions by meeting ASTM B117 standard and ANSI C136.31-2010 standard with a 3G vibration rating.
