You’re finally taking the plunge into the world of LED, where energy savings await you. While most LED lights flicker, Philips has created a product which will not flicker, but still provide all the benefits of LED. Although these are great aspects to our bulb, some other factors to consider while switching to LED would be – “Is the installation process doable? Is the manufacturer trustworthy of the product performance and/or is the light quality good enough for our application?” Philips is proud to announce the expansion of our MainsFit (UL Type B) LED Tube product which are designed as the perfect solution to these very questions! Since MainsFit is a ballast bypass lamp, it eliminates the ballast which removes the need for future ballast replacement.

    Easy install

Philips MainsFit (UL Type B / Ballast bypass) lamps are designed for simple installation. All of our MainsFit lamps are double-ended, which means that the lamps work with fixtures containing shunted or non-shunted G13 (medium bi-pin) lamp holders, can be installed in any direction. Watch this video to see how easy the installation process can be. Truly a lamp where you can feel good about the simple installation which goes hand in hand with it, along with the built-in shock and surge protection.

    Energy savings

You can expect the MainsFit T8 LED lamp to deliver up to 69% energy savings, when compared to a F32T8 electronic instant start lamp.

MainsFit (Type B), builds on the promise of energy savings, longer life and durability. As some customers value energy savings over all other factors, we have introduced a high efficacy (167 lm/W), DLC listed LED tube using less than 10W. Other lamps include an increased rated life of 40% to 70,000 hours, an increased standard limited warranty of 7-years, and are contained in a highly shatter resistant polycarbonate tube.

The second innovation enables rebates while saving the maximum amount of energy possible. Our high efficiency MainsFit (UL Type) product replaces a 32W T8 fluorescent lamp while using only 9.9W (9.9T8/COR/48-840/MF16/G 10/1). Since it is DLC listed, it enables rebates and maximizes energy savings; a perfect solution for ESCOs. Long term simplicity with increased safety.

    Innovation

Philips never stops innovating in meaningful ways. One such innovation is a technology we call MainsFit Max. This patented design delivers two key features. 1) Exceeds UL pin leakage standard for safety by 80%, and 2) built-in surge suppression – no external module is needed to ensure long life. In addition to MainsFit Max, all of our MainsFit (UL Type B) lamps provide light without visible flicker or stroboscopic effects, the most comfortable light you can experience. Pair with Bodine ELI-S-20 or ELI-S-100 for emergency fixture applications.

    Peace of mind

Philips is a company with more than 125 years of innovation and reliability in the lighting industry. When it comes to the MainsFit, longevity comes to mind. The average life rating of 50,000 hours means lower maintenance costs and satisfied building occupants for quite some time (tested to B50 L70 requirements). It also carries all of the industry recognized classifications and ratings to give you, and your customers the quality assurance that you both demand. Listings/Ratings: cULus Classified, DLC Certified, RoHS Compliant, and NSF Rated.
