Light empowers cities
The world’s leading cities are forging a unique identity by lighting important buildings and landmarks to create inspiring visual experiences. When combined with remote programming and management, innovative LED lighting can be quickly adjusted to transform your city’s appearance. Lighting can serve as a source of pride for citizens, stimulating commerce and tourism, all while saving in energy, maintenance and operating costs. Here are just a few highlights from our numerous installations throughout the Boston area.
The Fort Port Channel neighborhood in Boston is home to the innovation and arts districts, where professionals make developments in business, technology, and the arts on a daily basis. The Channel Center Garage seamlessly marries the lighting with the perforated and painted aluminum panels to transform the simple concrete structure with a bright design appropriate for Boston’s vibrant art district.
Zakim Bridge
One of the widest cable-stayed bridges in the world, this ten-lane bridge spans the Charles River and carries over 200,000 cars each day. At night, lit with bright blue light, the Zakim Bridge is an instantly recognizable feature of the Boston skyline.
District Hall
Located in heart of Boston’s innovation district, District Hall opened in 2013 as the world’s first public innovation center with dedicated civic space for the public to gather and exchange ideas. With over 70,000 visitors and 1,400 events since its opening, the rapidly growing use of District Hall is an indication how lighting can effectively draw in the public from the outside.
