The BSL4SB and BSL8SB universal input (120-277 V) emergency LED drivers work in conjunction with an AC LED driver that has an output current not to exceed 3.0 A. They consist of a high-temperature sealed lead acid battery, charger and electronic circuitry in one case.* The emergency drivers deliver 4W or 8W, depending on the model, to an LED load (measured at nominal battery voltage) for 90 minutes. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC driver is necessary. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, including damp locations. For more information about specific LED and AC driver compatibility, please call the factory at 888.263.4638.
The BSL4SB provides up to 500 lumens in emergency mode, while the BSL8SB provides up to 1000 lumens in emergency mode.** When AC power fails, the emergency drivers immediately switch to emergency mode, operating the LEDs at a reduced lumen output for a minimum of 90 minutes. When AC power is restored, the emergency driver automatically returns to the charging mode.
* Suitable for use in sealed fixtures only when properly vented.
** Based on a min efficacy of 130 lumens/watt of load power.
