Customer Challenge

The city council made a clear request to Signify. They required a light level of 500 lux in a building that was previously equipped with traditional lighting, and they needed the solution to be as sustainable as possible. "We wanted a lighting system that fits our vision of sustainability while meeting our budgetary constraints," said elated new mayor Elsie Sierens.

The right lighting

"We didn't have to invest a single euro," the mayor smiles. Every year, the municipality pays a lump sum slightly higher than the previous operating costs. But the energy savings, due to the use of LEDs, can reach 70%. So the municipality wins. Signify takes care of everything, allowing us to focus on the library's visitors.
