Customer Challenge

VVSG's head office in Brussels was in urgent need of a makeover. "We had set high standards in terms of sustainability for the renovation of our offices," explains Mieck Vos, General Manager of the VVSG. "We wanted to reuse circular solutions such as rainwater, recycle worn carpets and renovate furniture. It is very interesting to see that the same logic has now also been applied to lighting."

The right lighting

The LED luminaires provide guaranteed light output for 10 years. After that, the customer can choose to buy back the equipment and become the installation owner, or sign a new 5 year contract with Signify. Energy savings of 70% are expected over the 10 years, and VVSG is relieved of all responsibility for maintenance and repair. No investment is required and VVSG pays an annual contribution that is almost equal to the savings achieved in the first year.
