As part of Trade & Customs Compliance strategy, Signify is digitalizing the Trade & Customs processes to ensure compliance in (preferential) origin and related product classification.
Determination of these attributes, including the collection of information from suppliers, plays a vital role in adhering to customs legislation and the ability to apply for beneficial programs.
The digitization of the Trade & Customs Compliance processes incorporates the implementation of the Trade & Customs Compliance supplier platform.
Signify Trade & Customs makes use of the Trade Automation application. The application, platform, is owned by E2open (formerly known as AmberRoad).
The platform is accessible for the specific Supplier-Signify relevant data via the link to AmberRoad. This is a trusted site.
The platform supports the collection and management of the product (preferential) origin information from suppliers, including the creation of certificates like Long Term Supplier Declarations of preferential origin). On request of Signify, suppliers are required to provide their (preferential) origin information by the use of the supplier platform:
-The platform supports as well manual input directly in the platform, as well listing out of product by downloaded and re-upload.
-The certificates created within the platform can be signed digitally in the platform, as well can be downloaded, signed and uploaded to the platform.
-The platform also allows the supplier to revoke previous provided certificates.
