Cooperating with industry leaders like Signify, Networking for Future, T-Mobile, Cisco, and Express-Tek, the City of Raleigh is making strides to create an extraordinary place to live, work, visit and thrive for everyone.

The Solution

Signify’s BrightSites solution enables broadband connectivity through streetlights, promoting digital inclusivity by providing public Wi-Fi to those who need it the most, especially at this critical juncture when the Affordability Connectivity Program has come to an end. The solution also enables environmental sensors to detect motion, noise levels and ambient temperature, ensuring that the environment is always well-lit and provides a secure living space for all.
