Learning objectives:
Yong Liang is the City Segment Manager in the Public Segment Team at Signify Professional Business, overseeing global propositions for Cities, Road & Street Systems & Services. He directs the strategy, portfolio, and roadmap for Smart City initiatives, supported by a team of product managers, developers, and system experts located across Europe, India, China, and the Americas. With 24 years in the lighting industry, he is now in his 15th year at Signify, having held various roles in sales, product management, business development, and business management.
Yong Liang began at Signify in business development for road & street lighting controls, later expanding to product management for outdoor products such as sports, flood, urban, and façade lighting, and eventually becoming the Global Segment Manager. Before joining Signify, he was the general manager of a Danish company specializing in smart metering and streetlight control systems for Asia Pacific, and he spent 8 years at General Electric Lighting as regional sales and product manager for all lighting products.
