"Lighting library" for schools in Uganda

The Signify Foundation gave access to light through a "lighting library" in schools, where students can issue solar lanterns to take home to learn, play and create after dark in Uganda.

The older boarding school students have benefitted from better lighting in their boarding houses for quite a while. UgandaKids was happy to be able to also provide it for the younger children at their homes now.

The lights are charged with solar energy which means they work environmentally friendly and with a smaller risk of fire when compared to kerosene lamps. The illumination will enable the children and their foster families to study and do homework in their homes also after dark.
